Leeds United could have their hand forced with Largie Ramazani this summer.

The 25-year-old spent last season on loan at Valencia as Daniel Farke opted against utilising his services in the Premier League.

He had played a useful role in the Championship as the Whites were promoted back to the top flight.

The winger went on to have a mixed season in LaLiga, although things ended better than they started.

Carlos Corberan's side ultimately avoided relegation and pushed towards a top-half finish.

Ramazani is now set for an Elland Road return, but could soon complete a cut-price departure.

Leeds United hand likely forced on Largie Ramazani fee

There would be no surprise if the attacker was on his way out of Yorkshire this summer.

With Harry Wilson now a confirmed signing, there isn't much need for the Belgian right now.

That has clearly caught the attention away from Thorp Arch as Leeds' stance has become known.

Spanish journalist Hector Gomez spoke out via Tribuna Deportiva on Thursday to suggest that Valencia could re-sign Ramazani for a discounted fee as they know that Leeds really want to sell.

The Valencia reporter said: "Valencia knows for certain that, with Ramazani having two years left on his contract at Leeds United, the coach doesn’t want him. He’s surplus to requirements at Leeds. Ramazani is considered expendable.

"Leeds are not counting on Ramazani for next season, so Valencia’s thinking is straightforward: If Leeds don’t want him, the player has a significant say in where he goes.

"Valencia believe that, as the transfer window progresses, they’ll be able to sign Largie Ramazani for a very reasonable fee. They’re going to keep trying. Based on what I now know, Valencia have probably offered around £2million-2.5m and no more.

"They know he’s not in Leeds’ plans. They know he’s surplus to requirements, and they’ll try to take advantage of the fact that Premier League clubs have plenty of money and that, in the end, Leeds will prioritise moving on a player the manager doesn’t want in his squad, even if they have to take a financial hit.

"Leeds paid around £6m for him two seasons ago. I’m not sure what his remaining book value would be now - maybe £3m. But I think Valencia are trying to get him for even less."

Ramazani could pay for latest Leeds business

It would be a blow for the Whites to make a loss on the winger just two years after signing him from Almeria.

He certainly did a job in the Championship, but just hasn't been given the chance in the Premier League.

That certainly hasn't been helped by Wilson's free transfer from Fulham as they would be fighting for a similar position.

The Welshman's introduction could actually see Ramazani's move go through sooner, even at a cut-price rate.

If he were to leave for as little as £3m, that would cover over £57,000-per-week on the wage book.

Wilson was reportedly on £55,000 at Fulham, so if he is on a similar amount in LS11, Ramazani's exit could be ideal to fund a deal for Wilson for a year.
