How Leeds can still land Nelson Deossa transfer despite Real Betis intentions
Hope is not yet lost for Leeds United in their pursuit of Real Betis midfielder Nelson Deossa.
This summer, Daniel Farke is looking to recruit in the middle of the pitch, and that was evident in the pursuit of Shea Charles.
However, the Whites were unable to agree terms with Southampton and the Northern Irishman has since moved to Fulham.
Alternatives in the market have been emerging, and Leeds scouts watched Deossa live in Dublin recently.
The Colombian's stance has been that he wishes to stay at the La Liga side, despite his minutes being at risk.
However, despite those intentions, the Elland Road side could still have an opening, with it said an exit is not entirely ruled out.
How Leeds could tempt Nelson Deossa into Elland Road switch
Leeds could still yet make more signings this transfer window, especially in midfield.
According to ElDesmarque, Leeds target Deossa remaining at Real Betis this summer is not a guarantee despite his stance over his future.
While he has reiterated he is committed to the Seville-based club to both teammates and management, he would still consider offers from England.
Among the teams in the hunt for Deossa are said to be Ipswich Town and Leeds in the Premier League, while West Ham and Wolves are also among the suitors.
In terms of a move, the midfielder would listen to offers that were both "sportingly and financially advantageous enough" for him.
Of course, with Ipswich Town being a newly promoted side and likely contenders for relegation and Wolves and West Ham being in the second division, Leeds do look the most attractive.
However, no concrete offers have yet been made by any of the interested parties and it remains to be seen how well Leeds could present their project.
Nonetheless, the hope of a transfer is not yet dead with an "irrestible" offer the key to unlocking the deal.
How Leeds can tempt Deossa into a move
When it comes to the sporting advantages, the Whites already have that covered.
Making a move to the Premier League is already a major step up with it being one of the most watched leagues in the world.
Last season showcased that any team can push into the upper echelons of the table with the likes of Bournemouth and Sunderland getting Europe.
When it comes to the finances, Deossa is currently on around £37,600 per week as per Capology.
Handing him an increase on that wage should not be much of an issue, as at Elland Road that would make him the 16th highest earner in Farke's squad as per the same source.
