And already, it appears to have paid off.
Daniel Farke and the Whites enter the extended international break fifth in the Premier League and unbeaten with nine points.
After surviving with real physicality and power last season, Leeds entered the market for gamechangers.
While the likes of James Trafford and Tarik Muharemovic have exploded into life, there are still question marks around many.

James Trafford - 9
This was the one signing that Leeds fans had been dreaming of for years, finally solving their goalkeeping nightmare.
The 49ers destroyed the transfer record in LS11 to sign him from Manchester City, spending an initial £40million.
That has delivered three clean sheets in six matches in all competition, while Leeds already have the joint-best defence in the Premier League so far.
While incredible already, slight nerves around distribution knock him down a peg, but that will only get better as he plays with his new teammates more.
Michael Zetterer - 5
This was never a signing to pull up trees, but more a necessity.
With Illan Meslier, Karl Darlow and Lucas Perri all leaving this summer, the German arrived as a number two and nothing more.
In his only start, he conceded six at Chelsea, so below pass marks for him.
Melvin Bard - 6
It's been a decent start for the Frenchman, who arrived on deadline day as emergency cover for the likes of Joe Rodon.
He started at Chelsea and did well enough down the left, while also proving much-needed cover for Gabriel Gudmundsson.
Bard ticks a lot of boxes, even when he doesn't play.
Tarik Muharemovic - 10
Wow, that is the first word that springs to mind.
Muharemovic may have only spent around two months in LS11, but he's one of those players you know probably won't be here for long.
That's unfortunate, but the Bosnian just oozes class at the back and has fallen in love with the fans already.
Pascal Struijk leaving was a blow, but the biggest compliment to Muharemovic is that the former has been forgotten already.
Tough, durable, quick and a touch of class on the ball, there aren't many better than the £34million star in the Premier League.
Nico Elvedi - 7
This signing screamed Farke, given they had worked together already at Borussia Monchengladbach.
He has been immediately preferred to Jaka Bijol at the back too, which has raise some eyebrows.
Elvedi is solid at the back, but like Bijol, can get caught in possession at times.
It's been a good start, but there is definitely more to come.
Jean-Matteo Bahoya - 5
Bahoya simply can't be rated outside of bang down the middle.
The young French winger has played three minutes, coming off the bench in the 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Leeds fans have been crying out for more, given that Dan James and Brenden Aaronson have been the ones coming on instead.
Bahoya did take some decent touches, and at only 21, he has plenty of years ahead of him to prove himself in LS11.
Harry Wilson - 3
This may be harsh, but it's justifiable.
Wilson arrived as a huge marquee signing on a free transfer, but expectations were through the roof after his career-best year at Fulham last season.
After starting on the opening day against Nottingham Forest, he was dropped to the bench for future games.
He has only had limited minutes, and given his wages, Wilson needs to deliver more.
Having said that, Farke isn't exactly the best manager for players like Wilson who find themselves in this situation.
He needs to be trusted when back from injury, and when he is, you should start to see the best side of him.
