Harry Gray may have stoked the fire surrounding a Leeds United exit.

The talent is one of the most exciting young strikers in the game, and there are high hopes for him to make the grade in LS11.

The 17-year-old spent the second half of last season with Rotherham United in League One, making 20 appearances.

He notched three goals at one assist in his time at the New York Stadium, and is expected to be handed a chance in pre-season.

Gray has already been training ahead of a potential Leeds berth, even though the Whites squad are not back yet.

However, one detail of the session that he was involved in will concern Elland Road supporters and spark exit fears.

What has Harry Gray done to concern Leeds fans?

Gray has been linked with a Leeds exit in recent years, with Manchester City and Tottenham reportedly eyeing him before the prospect committed his future to the Peacocks.

Now, he has been spotted in a Spurs training shirt while taking part in pre-season activities with a striker coach away from Thorp Arch.

Scott Chickelday posted a video on Instagram on Friday showing the Peacocks man in the top of the rival Premier League club.

It could provoke worry that he could join his brother Archie, who linked up with the North London side in a £40million deal in 2024.

Why Leeds fans should not worry themselves about Gray video

Leeds fans should not be too concerned for several reasons.

For starters, it is likely that he was just showing support for his sibling, who plays for the N17 side.

Secondly, he is contracted until 2028, after signing a new deal in October 2025, so the Whites have security over his future, and can demand whatever fee that they want.

Finally, he had admitted that it is his dream to play for the Yorkshire side, and that he realises how lucky he is as he is a fan of the club.

Speaking after he signed that new deal, he said: “I definitely always believed in myself that I would play for Leeds. I have always wanted to do that but still got a long way to go.

"I have supported Leeds for as long as I know and went to all the games and stuff, but now I get to kind of live everyone’s dream as a fan and a player at the same time, there is nothing better.”

Now, they must show him that there is a genuine pathway to the senior set-up, and ensure that he does not end up considering his future when a renewal is due in two years time.
