Could Leeds United announce Harry Wilson transfer on 1 July? Everything we know here
Leeds United have seemingly won the race to sign Harry Wilson on a free transfer.
The Wales international has long been linked with a move away from Fulham as his contract ticked down.
It always looked unlikely that he would pen fresh terms at Craven Cottage and he opted not to in the end.
That prompted interest away from West London as a move to Aston Villa once looked massively likely.
Leeds have managed to muscle in with their move for the 29-year-old after reaching an agreement for a free transfer.
Wilson is seemingly ready to join the Whites imminently, but when can fans expect the announcement at Elland Road?
Harry Wilson contract details at Elland Road
It looks as if Daniel Farke and Co. are going to get their summer business started in the best possible way.
Reports emerged on Tuesday that Leeds have completed a deal to sign Wilson when his Fulham exit is confirmed.
With the 30 June deadline now passed, 1 July represents the first day that the Welshman is officially a free agent.
That leaves the door open for Leeds to shortly announce a confirmed deal for the attacking midfielder.
Wilson looks set to sign a a four-year deal at Elland Road until the summer of 2030.
There are contrasting reports on his wages in Yorkshire, but the ex-Liverpool youngster looks set to be paid in the region of £90,000 per week with the Whites.
That is a sizable outlay for Leeds, but as part of a free transfer it shouldn't come as a surprise.
The announcement of the deal will mark a dream start to the transfer window, but it won't stop there.
Who else could follow Harry Wilson to Leeds United?
There has been no shortage of transfer links in LS11, although the focus has undoubtedly been on Wilson.
That will soon change once his arrival is announced after he officially departed Fulham.
The question is then who Leeds will bring in next and it seems as if there are plenty of irons in the fire.
A goalkeeper is wanted this summer and Japan international Zion Suzuki has emerged as a target.
It also appears that midfield reinforcements is near the top of Farke's priority list with Shea Charles of Southampton strongly linked.
There has also been long-lasting links to Sporting CP's Ousmane Diomande as a big-money move could be on the cards this summer.
Leeds aren't sitting on their hands after making a deal happen for Wilson as he will just represent the start of their business.
