Chris Sutton reacts to Leeds new signings, says which one he's looking forward to most
Daniel Farke has handed a host of Leeds United Premier League debuts on Saturday.
The Whites are drawing 0-0 against Nottingham Forest at half-time of their Premier League curtain-raiser.
It marks the start of what many Leeds fans believe is going to be a very exciting 2026-27 campaign ahead.
Armed with four new quality additions so far this summer, Farke looks to have a team capable of cracking the top-half this term.
However, much of that will depend upon how quickly their new signings can hit the ground running at Elland Road.
A trio of them were handed their first Premier League starts on Saturday, and Chris Sutton has been speaking highly of them.
Which new Leeds signing has Chris Sutton described as 'superb'?
James Trafford, Harry Wilson and Tarik Muharemovic were all named in Farke's starting XI on Saturday afternoon.
All three have already pulled on the White shirt in pre-season this summer, but they've now taken their first steps in competitive action.
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live via BBC Sport on Saturday afternoon, Sutton clearly feels as though Leeds have done some quality business this summer.
"I'm looking forward to seeing Leeds' new singings this afternoon, James Trafford. He feels like an upgrade in goal," he said.
"The big centre-half Tarik Muharemovic and Harry Wilson is a fantastic signing, he was superb for Fulham last season."
So, at the half-time interval at the City Ground, how have all three fared in their first 45 minutes of Premier League football action for Leeds?
How Wilson is carrying promising Leeds threat vs Forest
It's not been a particularly enthralling opening half of football between Nottingham Forest and Leeds.
Neither side have taken a clear control of the game, and neither goalkeeper has been particularly tested.
Perhaps the most impressive debut performance of the aforementioned trio so far has been from Wilson.
As per FotMob, he's completed eight of his 10 pass attempts successfully and played two passes into the final third.
He's also attempted three crosses, played two accurate long balls, won one tackle and two ground duels.
Meanwhile, Muharemovic has completed 20 of his 22 passes, played three passes into the final third and made four defensive contributions.
He has, however, been struggling to assert his dominance in the air, winning just one of his five aerial duels in the first half.
Finally, Trafford has been forced into making two saves, resulting in a goals prevented number of 0.33.
Leeds' record-signing has been heavily involved in playing out from the back, completing 12 passes and taking 24 touches in the opening 45.
So, in what is a fair description of Leeds' overall display so far, the three new signings have been solid, but there will hopefully be plenty more to come in the second half.
