Charles De Ketelaere could be tempted by Leeds United transfer as ‘super’ bid tabled for Belgian ace
Club Brugge forward Charles De Ketelaere could now be tempted to join Leeds United this summer after a “super” offer was made for him by the Whites, according to Libero.
The Italian newspaper reported in their print edition on Thursday (7 July, page 30) that AC Milan risk losing out on the 21-year-old Belgium international with Leeds ready to pay £29.8million, plus £4.3million in add-ons, for him.
It is understood that Milan are only prepared to splash £17million, plus add-ons, for De Ketelaere right now and Leeds’ interest in the forward means the Italian champions could be forced into busting their budget.

RTL Sports journalist Alexandre Braeckman has previously told MOT Leeds News (30 June) that De Ketelaere has no interest in joining Leeds but in the wake of this club-record bid by the Whites, it seems as though the Brugge star’s stance may be changing.
Keep pushing
We thought that if De Ketelaere had no interest in signing for Leeds then it wasn’t worth chasing him up.
However, it seems as though there must be an inkling at Elland Road that if they push hard enough for the Belgium international, they’ll be able to get him.
Brugge might not accept what AC Milan are offering for De Ketelaere because Leeds’ bid for the young forward is a lot higher.
And while the player seems to prefer a move to the San Siro, where he’d play Champions League football next season, it might not even be something he’s allowed to do if the right money is stumped up.
De Ketelaere looks like a top talent.

He can play either as a left-winger, right-winger, a number 10 or a centre-forward. He even played a few times as a central midfielder so his versatility would be massive boost for the Whites if they do sign him.
Last season, as Brugge won the Belgian top-flight, De Ketelaere played 49 times in all competitions, scored 18 goals and supplied 10 assists.
If there’s a chance we can turn his head, let’s keep pushing.
