'And water is wet', 'Shock horror' - Some Leeds fans hit back at Phil Hay transfer claim
Leeds United fans have hit back at a report which says that the club will not make an attempt to sign Hull City star Jarrod Bowen in January.
Former Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Phil Hay has reported via The Athletic’s website that the Whites are unlikely to be in the hunt to sign Bowen, 22, next month due to the forward’s £20million price-tag.
It is understood that Leeds’ Championship title rivals West Brom will try to find a way to sign the in-demand forward, who is also attracting attention from the Premier League.
Bowen has been one of the top players in the second-tier this season.
He’s scored 17 goals in 23 appearances across all competitions for the Tigers, proving that he has the ability to not only play for a team gunning for promotion, but potentially even a Premier League club.
However if Leeds want to sign Bowen, they might have to wait until the summer when they know their fate because with January just around the corner, there are no immediate plans to try and sign the Herefordshire-born ace.
Leeds fans on Twitter are not exactly happy with the news.
Bowen is a top player and every fan of every Championship club will no doubt want to see him in their colours.
And that is why some supporters have hit back at this latest update on the KCOM goal machine.
