Permanent Jack Harrison transfer on cards at Leeds United after Everton developments

Jack Harrison looks to be one player likely to depart Leeds United again this summer following his season-long loan with Everton.

While the player has expressed his desire to rejoin the Toffees next season, Leeds are looking for a permanent transfer, a scenario that the Premier League club may not be able to afford.

It is understood, as per the Daily Mail, that Harrison has a clause in his current contract, allowing him to leave Elland Road again next season.

However, Leeds will be keeping their eye on developments at Goodison Park, especially as Manchester United continue to ramp up their interest in £70million-rated Jarrad Branthwaite.

If the Toffees were to sell their prized defender for how much they believe he is worth, this could open a door for Harrison to join them on a permanent deal rather than be loaned out again.

This outcome, concerning the 26-year-old winger, would suit both parties down to a tee.

He has seemingly burned his bridges at Elland Road, leaving the fans behind as Leeds were relegated, while the Toffees would be able to afford the player, who became a favourite under Sean Dyche.

As one of the few natural wingers at Goodison Park last season, Harrison made 25 Premier League starts, notching three goals and three assists, and appears to have made a good impression.

Considering Leeds’ current predicament with PSR, getting a decent fee for Harrison’s departure could be at the top of their priorities this summer, so everything will be crossed that Manchester United manage to secure a deal for Branthwaite.

Of course, Everton will be disappointed to lose the 21-year-old centre-half, but with PSR issues of their own to contend with, they may be left with no choice in the summer transfer window.
