Sean Dyche holds hope that Everton will be able to strike a deal to bring Leeds United loanee Jack Harrison to Goodison Park on a permanent deal.

Harrison has been a key part of the Toffees side which has successfully avoided relegation despite an eight-point deduction, and has contributed three goals and three assists in 29 Premier League appearances.

The midfielder's future will depend largely on whether or not Leeds earn promotion back to the top flight, but he will not play again this season after picking up a hamstring injury.

"We will wait and see," said Dyche, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.

"He has done very well. His tactical understanding is excellent, in two roles really, wide or in the number 10 spot.

"His work ethic is excellent too - and I still think there is more to come because he's very talented."

Will Jack Harrison be in the Premier League next year?

A player of Harrison's ability has to be in the Premier League - he has been a driving force despite fans pointing towards what could be a slightly heavier goal contribution.

With Leeds' relegation last season, Everton activated the clause which made Harrison available for loan last summer, which shows he has convinced his parent club that he is too good for the Championship.

There is no option to buy on the loan, but Everton will be eager to keep hold of their seasoned performers with a summer of uncertainty on the cards, brought about by the protracted 777 Partners takeover farce.

Jack Harrison - in blue, white or another colour next season?

From Harrison's perspective, at the age of 27 he would be considered to be at the midway point of his professional career which makes his next contract potentially defining.

The next move has to be the right one - and the ongoing instability at Goodison stacks the odds slightly back against Dyche and the Blues.
