Jaissle is being lined up as the next Magpies boss, per The Athletic's David Ornstein on Thursday.
That opens up plenty of doors for the Whites, as minority owners having an ally in the division, with close ties to them, can only be a good thing.
It could lead to deals between the sides becoming more likely, with players potentially moving in either direction.
The Whites have signed players from the Red Bull group before such as Brenden Aaronson and Max Wober, and the connection with Jaissle could take them shopping in the North East.
It may also lead to the two sides sharing the same stance on issues, and voting in the same direction at league meetings.
It is unlikely to affect things between the sides on the same pitch, as they are both competing for their own objectives.
What is Leeds' recent record against Newcastle?
Leeds secured a 0-0 draw against the North East outfit in August 2025 before a 4-3 defeat in January.
The previous meetings between the sides were in the top-flight in the 2022-23 season, with both ending in draws.
Before that, the Toon Army won 1-0 at Elland Road and the sides drew 0-0 at St James' Park in the 2021-22 campaign.
The Whites have not won since they secured the double over the Geordies in the 2020-21 season with wins by scorelines of 5-2 and 2-1.
