Manor Solomon makes admission to Leeds fans on social media after draw v Hull
Leeds United will “bounce back” from their chaotic 3-3 draw with Hull City on Saturday, Manor Solomon has insisted.
The Whites winger posted on X (4 January) a few hours after the full-time whistle at the MKM Stadium, with Daniel Farke’s side letting a 3-1 lead slip in the final 10 minutes following Illan Meslier’s glaring error.
Coming from 1-0 down early in the first half, United had done more than enough to claim the points through goals from Ao Tanaka, Dan James and Joel Piroe, only for everything to come undone late on.
Solomon said: “A tough one to take – we all wanted the 3 points. We’ll bounce back together.”
Manor Solomon needs to drag Leeds United to promotion
Although almost every single question to come out of United’s calamitous draw in East Yorkshire will be surrounding the short and long-term future of Illan Meslier between the sticks, football is a team game.
If Meslier is to be replaced at some point this month, either by deputy Karl Darlow or a new face brought in during the transfer window, the 10 players in front of him still need to do their bit at both ends.

Following a relatively rocky and injury-hit start to his Peacocks career, Solomon’s form in recent weeks has been exceptional, and the Israel international is now a regular starter in Farke’s first-choice side.
With even Dan James having an off-day despite scoring agains the club where he began his career, the likes of Solomon, and goalscorers Piroe and Tanaka will know that a significant response is needed.
Meslier’s errors do seem to be costing the Whites in their bid to establish daylight at the top of the Championship, but Solomon implies that ‘United’ must be the message if they’re to complete the job.
