Sunderland's trip to Leeds United did not get off to the best of starts as the team coach was ticketed prior to the match at Elland Road.

As posted on X by LUFCFANZONE [9 April] - an account that previously had links to Andrea Radrizzani and has broken big stories in the past - the bus was ticketed by Leeds Council.

The ticket was as a result of the vehicle being parked on double yellow lines outside the Clayton Hotel on Tuesday (9 April) prior to the contest with Leeds.

A separate fan account, @JamieLee76, showed the Sunderland bus up close over the yellow lines.

Leeds looking to bounce back against Sunderland

Hopefully this is a sign of things to come as far as Sunderland are concerned as Leeds are in desperate need of a win at Elland Road.

The loss to Coventry City has halted the Whites' momentum and, given the extremely tight nature at the top, they cannot afford to slip up again.

Sunderland clearly stayed overnight, which is not always the case for midweek evening games, but the coach driver obviously did not care about where he parked up.

The Black Cats have been in pretty bad form of late, having won just one of their past 10 matches in the Championship.

However, they did snap a long losing run away from home with a 2-0 victory last time out on their travels, so they cannot be completely underestimated.

Fingers crossed Sunderland do not make the return journey with any points, whether that be in footballing terms or indeed for traffic violations!
