Javi Gracia must drop Leeds United defender Max Wober for Pascal Struijk v Wolves

Javi Gracia must get Pascal Struijk back into the Leeds United XI when they take on Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday, 18 March.

Max Wober played the 2-2 draw against Brighton last weekend and did not have the best of games and nearly cost his side the game.

He made a disappointing tackle to get the ball off Danny Welbeck, but messed up his decision making completely – leaving the former Arsenal and Manchester United striker clean through on goal.

To Leeds’ good fortune, he’s not the best of finishers and he ended up skying the ball which ensured that the Seagulls did not get three points from the game.

Andy Walker, a Sky Sports pundit, was on commentary for the Premier League world feed, slammed the Austria international.

He said (16:32, 11/03), “What a dreadful attempted challenge at the edge of the box by Wober. You were sure he [Welbeck] was going to find the back of the net.”

Struijk has been one of the best players for Leeds this season and has done a phenomenal job being deployed at left-back.

However, since Junior Firpo’s returned to the team, he has done well so dropping him would be unfair in order to bring the Dutchman back.

Wober still seems to be adjusting to life in the Premier League and we wouldn’t be surprised if Gracia makes a direct swap between the two.

The Austrian was awry with his passing too against Brighton, completing just 63 per cent of his attempts and that certainly will not have impressed Gracia.
