Images emerge from Elland Road as Leeds United trouble continues
All operations have been suspended at Elland Road on police advice following a threat received against Leeds United, with the Yorkshire Evening Post sharing images from the scene.
In what is a very serious situation for the club, a security operation is currently ongoing as police strive to establish the credibility of the threat which has meant that admin staff, the ticket office, the club store and more have had to cease activity and evacuate the premises.
Pictures across social media, press and TV from earlier today saw a significant police presence at the stadium, with the entire area cordoned off by fencing.

A statement from West Yorkshire Police contained the following: “Police were called to attend at Elland Road football stadium following reports of a security threat to the premises.
“Investigations are currently ongoing to establish the credibility of that threat. The report was received at 9:49 pm last night.”
Safe resolution
Earlier, today Hayley McQueen shared what Sky Sports News had been able to obtain from the authorities about the ongoing incident.
This is a strange occurrence for Leeds and the stadium to be targeted for whatever reason but hopefully, the only outcome is one of a safe resolution but it is understandable that no risks can be taken with the safety of club employees and personnel being the number one priority.
Thankfully, there is no imminent fixture at Elland Road and with the current international break, there is less activity around the stadium compared to a normal home match weekend.

It was stated by Phil Hay of The Athletic that, “the report (of the threat) was made by a member of the public rather than the club itself”, leading to police taking action.
Further news is expected as soon as possible with a holding comment from the club only stating: “Leeds United’s offices, ticket office, Foundation offices and club shop at Elland Road will be closed until further notice on the advice of the police. We apologise for any inconvenience and we will inform the public when normal service resumes.”
Hopefully, things can return to normal as soon as possible with a huge April ahead of the Whites with home games against the likes of Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest and Liverpool consecutively.
In other Leeds United news, one player’s exit could depend on Javi Gracia remaining the man in the dugout at Elland Road.
