The agent of Illan Meslier has claimed that Leeds United can make the Champions League if they keep Marcelo Bielsa and Victor Orta at Elland Road.

Xavier Fleury has insisted that the 21-year-old “loves” the Whites after turning his loan move from Lorient permanent in the summer.

Meslier has already broken the record for the most clean-sheets and appearances from keepers in the Premier League under the age of 21 this season.

Speaking to the LUFC Fan Zone Podcast, Fleury claimed that Leeds could be in Europe within two-to-three seasons with Bielsa and Orta in West Yorkshire.

“He loves the club,” he said.

“In two, three seasons, if Leeds keep the manager and Orta, they could be in the Champions League. A title with Leeds is more beautiful than a title with Juventus, Madrid or Bayern.”

This is a massive claim to make.

Thankfully for Fleury, his ambition is fully matched by the likes of Andrea Radrizzani who has made it no secret that is his main goal at Elland Road.

Radrizzani was present at Barcelona’s recent game against Paris Saint-Germain, telling UFC star Khabib Nurmagomedov that this will be his club soon; you can’t fault the ambition.

It appears as though that message is reaching the players and agents, which can only be a good thing when trying to attract the big names to Elland Road.

Players such as Raphinha left the possibility of Champions League to move to Yorkshire, and he wouldn’t have done that without a clear goal of getting back there.

This makes the summer even more exciting, just imagine the type of names we could attract after an impressive first year back in the Premier League.
