Why former Leeds United defender was 'absolutely seething' in win vs Newcastle United

Leeds United were in sensational form against Newcastle United on Monday.

Daniel Farke's side ran out 4-1 winners over the Magpies in front of a fired-up Elland Road, in a result that left Leeds third in the Premier League.

Lewis Miley's own goal got Leeds up and running, while Jayden Bogle was contentiously awarded the second after Dominic Calvert-Lewin's thumping header was judged to have clipped his team-mate.

Calvert-Lewin made it 3-0 before the break, though, before Noah Okafor executed a brilliant fourth for the Whites after half-time.

Bazmoumana Toure registered a late consolation for Leeds, who missed out on the clean sheet against Mathias Jaissle's side.

BBC Radio Leeds commentator Jonathan Buchan has now jokingly revealed why former Leeds defender Aidy White was fuming during the game.

Buchan said: "Aidy White was furious with the goal at the end, wasn't he?

"That's the defender in him, he was absolutely seething about it."

White was not the only one angry about the late goal Leeds conceded in fairness.

Farke was also seen fuming on the sidelines as Leeds conceded late on to lose out on a clean sheet.

Indeed, he was seen having an animated conversation with his captain Ethan Ampadu on the pitch at Elland Road at full time.

In fairness, these are things you love to see from a manager who is demanding the absolute best from his team.

Farke had just witnessed Leeds put on an absolute clinic, and on another night they end up with even more goals.
