How Dominic Calvert-Lewin could miss Leeds vs Manchester United
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has started extremely well in the Premier League for Leeds United again.
The England international bullied Newcastle as the Whites ran away comfortable 4-1 winners on Monday.
Daniel Farke was delighted as his side went third in the Premier League.
Calvert-Lewin took his goal perfectly, cutting inside Sven Botman and slotting home to make it three on the night.
He thought he had two, but his header deflected off Jayden Bogle, something which left him shocked.
But, it wasn't all good news on the night.
Was Dominic Calvert-Lewin lucky?
The striker is known for his physicality, and he bullies defenders with ease, whether on or off the ball.
Calvert-Lewin did get somewhat carried away towards the end of the first half, though, booked for an altercation with Botman.
He wasn't happy at the time, but the England international took a glance at the Dutchman and then his arm connected with his face.
With VAR appearing to change opinions each day, Leeds fans were somewhat nervous while it was being checked.
Taiwo Awoniyi was sent off for Coventry in their 5-0 defeat against Brighton the day before, but yellow was deemed enough for Calvert-Lewin.
It also takes him to three bookings in four games.
What game could Calvert-Lewin miss?
Nobody has more bookings than the striker in the Premier League, with a couple of others also on three.
With five needed for a one-match suspension, it's almost guaranteed that Calvert-Lewin will miss a week very soon.
The possible timing of his next two isn't great, either.
With Crystal Palace on Sunday before the extended international break, Leeds return to action after that with a trip to Arsenal.
If he's booked in both of those, Calvert-Lewin will miss the huge game with Manchester United at Elland Road on 18 October.
With tough away trips to Sunderland and Bournemouth after that, as well, Farke could be without his main man for a tricky fixture.
Lukas Nmecha is more than capable of stepping in, but it's been a feisty start to the season for his number nine so far.
Leeds are third in the Premier League and Calvert-Lewin is a huge part of that, let's hope it continues.
