Troy Deeney has head in his hands after what he heard about Leeds' James Trafford on talkSPORT
Troy Deeney doesn't seem to have any sympathy for James Trafford after Leeds United lost to Arsenal on Saturday.
The Whites' goalkeeper conceded two goals against the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium on 10 October.
Despite James Justin giving the visitors the lead, Daniel Farke's team couldn't hold on.
Riccardo Calafiori started the comeback at the Emirates, but many felt Trafford could've done better to save the shot.
The England international got his hands to the ball but couldn't keep it out.
Bruno Guimaraes then slotted the ball into the bottom corner to ensure Mikel Arteta's side got the three points.
Why Troy Deeney looked in disbelief over James Trafford comments
Trafford didn't have his best game against Arsenal, raising questions about his ability to be England's number one.
The former Manchester City shot-stopper started the season in fine fashion, leading Thomas Tuchel to give him a couple of opportunities during the international break to compete with Jordan Pickford.
While the 24-year-old did have an off-day in North London, he's more than capable of bouncing back.
That hasn't stopped people from mocking and raising doubts over his quality.
Speaking on talkSPORT on 12 October, Sam Matterface said, "Troy, should we talk about the elephant in the room? James Trafford.
"What happened for that Calafiori goal, Crook? He should be England's goalkeeper. He's the number one. He's the best in the entire land. What happened there?"
Alex Crook responded, "Young goalkeepers are going to make mistakes," and Deeney had his hand on his face after hearing the answer.
Is the James Trafford criticism fair?
It isn't surprising to see people jumping on Trafford after one bad Leeds game.
The Whites spent £40million on the English shot-stopper in the summer and that price tag will bring plenty of scrutiny.
With the ex-Man City ace now considered serious competition for Pickford in the national setup, fans will certainly debate over who should be England's number one.
Those who've seen Trafford regularly this season will recognise his importance to Farke's team.
The goalkeeper was a big reason why the West Yorkshire outfit conceded only three goals in their first five Premier League matches.
A small blip isn't going to discourage fans in LS11.
