Three Leeds United players who will miss Chelsea showdown in Carabao Cup
Leeds United are quickly back in action again on Wednesday as they travel to Chelsea.
Daniel Farke will be delighted with the start to the Premier League season, with five points from three tricky games unbeaten.
Add the Carabao Cup victory at Nottingham Forest, and the Whites are flying high with confidence.
Now, the third round has delivered a mouth-watering tie at Stamford Bridge against rivals, Chelsea.
Farke went strong in the previous round, but still made changes.
And with Xabi Alonso's men around the corner, the squad is looking in good shape despite some minor hiccups.
Leeds United injury latest vs Chelsea
There will be some obvious rotations in the starting XI, that is always the case in these cup competitions.
Thankfully, there were no new obvious injury issues from the 1-1 draw against Brighton on Saturday.
Dan James made the bench, but it was confirmed after that he had a slight back issue after not coming on.
He should be fine to start at Chelsea with that rest, given that he scored in the previous round at Forest.
Ben Dinnery, an injury expert on the Premier League, has shared on his website that Ilia Gruev is a possible returnee, but only has a 25 per cent after so long out.
Pair that with Joe Rodon and Mateo Joseph's injuries, and those are three who should miss out at Stamford Bridge.
The latter doesn't matter, but he has been included in the Premier League squad, strangely.
Who are guaranteed starters at Chelsea?
You would expect that James Trafford and Tarik Muharemovic would start again, given how incredible they've started after signing.
The likes of Jayden Bogle, James Justin and Ethan Ampadu will likely keep their spots, too.
After that, it's anyone's guess.
Melvin Bard and Jean-Matteo Bahoya will be pushing for debuts, while Harry Wilson will want more minutes under his belt after a couple of games on the bench.
Lukas Nmecha, Sean Longstaff and Jaka Bijol are all likely to play too, with rotation key ahead of two crucial Premier League games before the first international break.
It's been a great start to the season, but it could get even better over the next fortnight with injuries at a minimum.
