Leeds United's unbeaten record in the Premier League this season is over.

But it was a hell of an effort from the Whites against reigning Premier League champions Arsenal.

Last season, Leeds lost both games to Mikel Arteta's men by an aggregate score of 9-0.

Leeds were desperately unlucky to leave the Emirates Stadium with a 2-1 defeat on Saturday, though, as goals from Riccardo Calafiori and Bruno Guimaraes cancelled out James Justin's opener.

It was a result that leaves seventh in the Premier League standings after six games, and Daniel Farke's men will look to bounce back against rivals Manchester United on Sunday.

Here, MOT Leeds News looks at three questions to have emerged at Elland Road over the past week.

Can Leeds compete with the Premier League's elite?

Well, they certainly competed against Arsenal on Saturday and had they been more clinical they would have come away with a result.

There is a real confidence among this squad, and a fearlessness about any opponent they come up against now.

However, it is one thing being a plucky loser and another coming away with what you deserve.

This Sunday against the Red Devils provides Leeds with a wonderful opportunity to show they can take on the best and win.

Who better to prove it against than your most hated rivals?

Did Daniel Farke manage the game wrong against Arsenal?

One stick that Farke detractors often beat him with is his in-game management.

Against Arsenal, Leeds were more than good value for their lead when Justin smashed in a 55th-minute opener.

Inevitably, that brought an onslaught from the Gunners, though, one topic of discussion was how effective Harry Wilson and Brenden Aaronson were off the bench.

It was also questioned whether Jean-Matteo Bahoya could have been utilised earlier than the 85th minute given Leeds had gone behind in the 70th.

Ultimately, Arsenal's quality told in the end - but some fans are wondering if Farke could have played his cards differently at 1-0 up.

Is James Justin becoming crucial for Leeds?

Leeds paid around £10million to sign Justin from Leicester City in the summer of 2025.

Right now, that is looking an absolute bargain.

Justin is extremely versatile, capable of playing at either wing-back, but also on the right of three-man centre-back line-up, which he has been doing since Joe Rodon got injured.

While he hasn't always been a guaranteed starter, right now he looks undroppable and he was rightly hailed for an excellent display against Arsenal.
