Supercomputer predicts Leeds United vs Brighton in Premier League showdown

Leeds United aim to maintain their unbeaten record to start the season against Brighton on Saturday.

Daniel Farke's side hit the road this weekend on a long old trip to the Amex Stadium.

The Whites have won two and drawn one of their opening three competitive fixtures of 2026-27.

Meanwhile, the Seagulls are looking to respond after a frustrating but entertaining 4-3 defeat away at Chelsea last weekend.

Brighton have won both of their two competitive home games so far in 2026-27 against Aston Villa and Tromso, both to the tune of 4-0 routs.

As such, nobody of a Leeds persuasion will be under any illusion as to how tough a challenge the home side will present on Saturday.

What is predicted to happen in Brighton vs Leeds?

With both sides in good form to open up the new campaign, we could be in for a tight game this weekend.

Leeds' two wins so far this term have both came on the road and both at the City Ground over Nottingham Forest.

Therefore, Farke and his players will be confident of their ability to pick up results away from Elland Road.

However, Opta Analyst's supercomputer doesn't see it that way for the Whites.

They have Brighton down as having a 50.4 per cent chance of victory, whilst Leeds are only afforded a 24.5 per cent of three points.

Both sides sharing the spoils has thus been given a 25.1 per cent chance of happening, which Leeds would probably take before kick-off.

Brighton are renowned for being a typically very tough team to beat on their home soil.

Indeed, they took 33 of their 53 Premier League points last season at the Amex, losing just four times.

It's not been a happy hunting ground for Leeds, however, and it provides understanding behind the Opta Analyst's prediction.

That's because since Brighton moved to the Amex in 2011, Leeds have never won a competitive game there.

Leeds have drawn three and lost seven at the home of the Seagulls, and so three points on Saturday would hold far more value than perhaps many realise.

Two of those three draws came in Leeds' first two visits to the Amex when this was a Championship fixture too.
