Sheffield United star Rhian Brewster has sent a message to Leeds United defender Jayden Bogle after the 4-0 victory against Oxford United.

The 24-year-old started in defence and impressed once again in the win, scoring at Elland Road on 21 December after good work with Brenden Aaronson.

The English defender joined the Elland Road club this summer after four seasons with the Blades and the two sides are locked in a battle for top spot in the Championship.

Former teammate Brewster commented on Bogle's Instagram post after both teams won, saying: "That is it."

Leeds United promotion battle heats up

The promotion race in the Championship is heating up with both the Whites and their Yorkshire rivals picking up maximum points on Saturday (21 December).

The Blades are three points ahead of Farke's side at the top of the table after they beat Cardiff 2-0 thanks to a Kieffer Moore brace.

The battle for automatic promotion is razor-close at the moment with the top three teams separated by four points, with Burnley in third only a point behind Leeds.

Farke is under pressure to deliver automatic promotion to Elland Road this season after his side narrowly missed out on top-flight football last season.

Blades manager Chris Wilder tried to increase the pressure on the German recently, saying that the Whites were "miles ahead" of his side (8 December).

Farke's side needs to concentrate on their results and not get carried away with their rivals' performances to ensure that they succeed in their aims.
