Sean Dyche is a big fan of the Leeds United squad.

The Whites secured Premier League safety last season after promotion and have started the 2026-27 campaign on the front foot.

Before losing 2-1 to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, the West Yorkshire outfit were one of five unbeaten teams in the Premier League.

Even in North London, Daniel Farke's team put up an impressive fight against the reigning champions and took the lead through James Justin.

Riccardo Calafiori and Bruno Guimaraes turned things around for the Gunners at home, but the Peacocks came away with their heads held high.

While Farke deserves massive credit for what he has done in LS11, the players deserve that praise as well.

What Sean Dyche has said about Leeds United squad

Leeds forced Arsenal to have an off day, with the Emirates Stadium silent for more than 60 minutes.

Farke and his players showed they could go toe-to-toe with the Gunners.

Ally McCoist was commentating on the game and was left impressed with how the Whites performed.

Dyche acknowledges that the German head coach has been influential, but has hailed the players for their mentality.

The ex-Everton boss believes the West Yorkshire outfit's brave approach since last season has been rewarded.

Speaking on talkSPORT on 13 October, McCoist said, "They played well for an hour. I was there Saturday. They were very good."

Dyche added, "The manager is doing a great job there, but it's almost like the players have gone, 'Right, we'll have a right go at it.'

"Last season, they were new to the Premier League and they were like, 'We'll have a right go.' And they did and it paid them back."

What Daniel Farke will want to improve vs Man United

Leeds have one of their biggest games of the season coming up against Manchester United at Elland Road.

Despite the loss to Arsenal, the Whites showed enough in that performance to convince fans that they can get the three points at home next.

One major criticism regarding the West Yorkshire outfit at Emirates Stadium was that they should've been ahead before the break.

The Peacocks created some decent opportunities in the first half but failed to make the most of them.

Right after going in front, Farke's team couldn't cope with the pressure and let their lead slip.

Michael Carrick's team can't be allowed to be given any belief, and their mental weakness is something the Whites should look to exploit.
