Olivia Rodrigo to rock up at Leeds United game as she shares what she 'really wants'
Olivia Rodrigo may have been talked into attending a Leeds United match.
The pop superstar, who has over 64 million monthly listeners on streaming platform Spotify, has revealed her desire to come to the city.
The Whites have established themselves as Premier League side after their first season back in the big time, where they finished 14th and stayed up comfortably.
After she shared her wish to visit West Yorkshire, the idea of coming to Elland Road was raised.
The California-born singer did not exactly shoot down the idea and instead sounded enthusiastic when she responded.
We could see her in LS11 sooner rather than later, if something can be sorted out when the new season starts.
What did Olivia Rodrigo say about Leeds?
Rodrigo could be seen in the famous stadium in the near future, as she may have been talked into attending for the new campaign.
Speaking on Hits Radio, she said: “I really want to go to Leeds this year. I think that’ll be fun. Just like as a spectator, I think that’ll be cool.”
Host Will Best responded with: “Go to a Leeds match...”
Rodrigo replied: “Yeah, ok, ok, ok.”
Could Rodrigo join Leeds' famous legion of supporters
Leeds have a load of famous supporters, who have made appearances at matches.
Former boxing champions Josh Warrington and Katie Taylor, Olympians Alistair and Jonathan Brownlee are all fans of Daniel Farke's side.
Comedian Maisie Adam, Ricky Wilson and Simon Rix of the Kaiser Chiefs and Harry Potter actor Matthew Lewis are all also Whites supporters.
Manchester City star Erling Haaland is also a fan, having been born in the city when his father played for the club.
Maybe they could add Rodrigo to the list, if she does actually attend a game and has a good time in the stands.
Regardless, having her at a match would likely drive a revenue boost and pick up new casual supporters, as she clearly has legions of dedicated fans all across the world.
That would surely only help the Peacocks, in their attempts to establish themselves as one of the biggest clubs in the country.
They had been in the doldrums of the Championship and even League One for years, but now it appears that they could become giants again.
Attracting one of the biggest celebrities at the moment, if they can pull it off, will only help their appeal to the masses.
