Leeds United fell to defeat against Arsenal on Saturday.

The Whites put in a shift at the Emirates on their return to Premier League action.

There was a general feeling that they should have been infront going in at the break after a string of chances.

They did manage to take the lead when James Justin smashed an effort into the top corner.

The balance tipped from there as the Gunners went on to level through Riccardo Calafiori before Bruno Guimaraes came off the bench to make it 2-1.

Leeds may feel they deserved more in North London as we now assess the performance of each player.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin dominance on show vs Arsenal

There has been so much positive to say about the England international this season.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin kept that going with a superb performance at the Emirates.

He may not have scored, but represented a constant problem for both Gabriel and Ezri Konsa.

That often allowed Leeds to push up the pitch and cause issues on the counter for the champions.

It didn't mean anything in the end as Arsenal's quality proved too much.

That shouldn't mean Calvert-Lewin should do anything but hold his head up high after doing all he can.

Tarik Muharemovic wasn't at his best for Leeds United

The 23-year-old has been superb ever since stepping through the doors at Elland Road.

A trip to the Emirates potentially came at a bad time for Tarik Muharemovic just after his international break with Bosnia.

That was on show as he struggled up against the likes of Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and Kai Havertz.

He picked up a yellow card for his troubles and was ultimately walking on eggshells for the last half an hour.

None of the goals conceded were necessarily his fault, but just a frustrating day, in the end, for the defender.
