Another international break has come and gone with focus now turned back to Leeds United.

The Whites have been in excellent form this season, prompting many of their squad to be called up for their nations.

This extended break has meant domestic football has had a prolonged pause.

For instance, Leeds' last Premier League fixture and their next against Arsenal come 20 days between each other.

For a team riding on momentum, it is far from ideal, but the Whites have had many keep up their form away with their countries.

Meanwhile others may have preferred to keep the Premier League action rolling.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin among Leeds' international losers

Dominic Calvert-Lewin earned a much deserved international call-up, but the forward has struggled to feature for England.

Over the opening three games, the Whites striker has been handed only seven minutes of game time.

While Leeds will be happy with the lack of load-bearing the Englishman has had to deal with, he will undoubtedly be unhappy with how things have gone.

Elsewhere, Jean-Matteo Bahoya has picked up an injury with France's under-21s, with details of the extend of that blow still being awaited.

Anton Stach will also feel disheartened after only 32 minutes total over two games for Germany.

Nico Elvedi stars for league-topping Switzerland in Leeds winners

Switzerland have been in flying form in the Nations League with Leeds' Nico Elvedi starring in all of their games so far.

The centre-back has picked up two clean sheets, while also managing to get himself on the scoresheet against Scotland as well.

He will certainly be coming back to Elland Road in top spirits, with his nation top of League B's Group 1.

James Trafford will also be feeling a high, after Thomas Tuchel turned to him in two England games.

Jordan Pickford, who has rarely been benched, watched on as the Leeds number one played between the sticks.

Daniel James and Ethan Ampadu were also instrumental for Wales, who secured their first win against a high ranked nation under Craig Bellamy.

Elsewhere, Ilia Gruev who has only returned from injury in the last month, got valuable minutes for Bulgaria, with two 90 minute displays and a 55-minute performance.

Although, with just one draw and two losses, Gruev has benefitted greatly during this break.
