Daniel Farke needs to watch Louis Enahoro-Marcus closely after Leeds U21 scenes
Louis Enahoro-Marcus should be getting attention from Leeds United boss Daniel Farke.
The 20-year-old defender joined the Whites' academy in July 2025, after spending nearly 10 years with Liverpool.
He has made 23 appearances for the Thorp Arch side's Under-21 team since making the move to West Yorkshire.
Enahoro-Marcus' showing in the 4-3 EFL Trophy win over Barnsley on Wednesday may have been the best one yet.
The young centre-back was immense at Oakwell, and Farke has to be keeping a close eye on his development.
His display was dominant, which is very impressive given that he was up against a League One side.
How did Louis Enahoro-Marcus perform in Leeds U21 thriller?
Callum Mills stole all the headlines with his hat-trick, but Enahoro-Marcus was just as good at the back.
He completed 75 per cent of his passes, and recorded a 60 per cent accuracy from his five long balls, per FotMob data.
The youngster had 13 defensive contributions, with eight clearances, three blocks, one tackle and one interception in the contest, while also making three recoveries.
In terms of duels, he won two of two on the ground for a 100 per cent success rate.
However, the standout stat was his aerial duels, as he won eight of 10 for a success rate of 80 per cent.
How likely is Enahoro-Marcus to secure Leeds senior berth?
Enahoro-Marcus faces tough competition for a centre-back berth with the Peacocks.
The likes of Jaka Bijol, Tarik Muharemovic, Nico Elvedi and Joe Rodon are top-quality options, with only three places available in Farke's team.
However, if the young defender continues to show this level of performance it will surely only be a matter of time before he is handed an opportunity.
Farke must be watching his progress, if he was not already after the display against the Tykes on Tuesday.
He may need another centre-back option in future and the former Liverpool man has surely put himself in the running.
He is out of contract in the summer of 2027, though, so the Whites need to lock him up to a new deal, and then ensure that the pathway is there for him to make the step up.
