Ally McCoist reveals why Anton Stach should've been screaming at Leeds teammate in loss vs Arsenal
Leeds United's 2-1 loss to Arsenal could have gone much differently for Anton Stach.
The Whites ended up nothing from the Emirates Stadium against the reigning Premier League champions.
Daniel Farke's side certainly had their chances in the opening 45 minutes, with David Raya being the busier goalkeeper.
James Justin's strike gave the visitors the lead in the early stages of the second-half, but Ricardo Calafiori levelled just a few minutes later and Bruno Guimaraes smashed home the winner in the 70th minute.
Stach will be ruing the fact that he could have already put his side into the lead earlier in the clash, and perhaps altered the outcome.
One of his Whites teammates should have gotten the brunt of the fury from the German star after a first-half incident.
Why Anton Stach should be furious with Leeds teammate Jayden Bogle
In the 24th minute of the contest, the Whites had a chance to take the lead when Gabriel Gudmundsson found Stach at the back post with a superb cross.
Jayden Bogle got in the way of the shot, and Ally McCoist shared a passionate reaction on why the midfielder should be furious.
Speaking on TNT Sports, he said: “He’s got to be screaming at him, he must be screaming at him.
“If you’re coming in at the back-post like Stach was, you’re screaming at Bogle to get out of the road; 'Just get out of my way and let me hit this'.
“I’m probably being a little bit harsh, he’s done everything to attempt to get out of the way.”
It was a faux pas from Bogle, but his overall impact on the Peacocks' performance was a positive, despite blocking Stach's effort.
How did Bogle perform in Leeds' loss to Arsenal?
Bogle had a total of 38 touches in the contest, with three coming in the opposition box, according to FotMob data.
The right wing-back created two chances for his teammates and made four passes into the final third.
Defensively, he made six contributions, with one clearance and a further five recoveries, and was dribbled past twice.
In terms of duels, he won two of his five ground duels and the only aerial duel that he contested for a 40 and 100 per cent success rate in those metrics.
While he will be criticised for getting in the way, he had to react very quickly and could not manage to do so.
His overall performance was solid and a huge part of why Farke's side caused Mikel Arteta's team so many issues, and nearly walked away with more than they eventually got.
His place in the side will not come into question after his showing, despite the one mistake.
