Leeds United celebrity fan calls out 'rubbish' Anton Stach after what he saw vs Crystal Palace

Leeds United weren't helped much by Anton Stach against Crystal Palace on Sunday.

The German midfielder started his fifth consecutive Premier League game for the Whites at Elland Road on 20 September.

Pierre Sage's team got a point after a 0-0 draw, with the West Yorkshire outfit not at their vintage best.

Stach's performance at Elland Road was well below his usual standards as Palace got their first draw of the season.

The Eagles had lost three of their opening four league matches, while winning the other, and Daniel Farke's side were the favourites going into the game.

With the 27-year-old former Hoffenheim ace not in fine form of late, he stood out for all the wrong reasons in LS11.

Stach was clearly underwhelming for Leeds against Palace and seemed to have an off day.

Kaiser Chiefs' Simon Rix, who's a Whites fan, wasn't too happy with the Germany international's quality on the ball.

As per Sofascore, the midfielder had 70 per cent passing accuracy, one accurate cross out of seven and lost possession 20 times at Elland Road.

While Stach is more involved in the final third and statistics alone sometimes don't paint the best picture, he didn't seem to be on the same wavelength as his teammates.

The German ace did run around a lot, but it didn't amount to much in the end.

Speaking on Don't Go To Bed Just Yet on 21 September, Rix said: "Stach was a bit rubbish. He did actually cover the most ground, I've noticed.

"What I was looking at was people's pass completions and Tanaka was 97 per cent. And Stach's was 70 per cent. His passes were behind people or just short. It just seemed like it wasn't working for him."

Leeds went with an unchanged starting lineup against Palace and the home side looked a bit lethargic.

The Whites failed to impose their authority on the game, and the Eagles pushed them back for the most part.

Jayden Bogle's inability to progress with the ball also proved detrimental, and in games like this, a natural right-winger could help the West Yorkshire outfit carry possession in forward areas.

Farke has found great balance with his backline at the Peacocks but will be worried about the amount of work James Trafford had to do to keep the Eagles out.

The international break gives the German manager a chance to reevaluate certain things in LS11.
