Leeds United player ratings vs Crystal Palace: Anton Stach has an off day, 8/10 continues to shine

Leeds United were held to a 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace at Elland Road on Sunday.

Daniel Farke made no changes to the side that beat Newcastle United 4-1 last time out, but Ilia Gruev came back into the side as Harry Wilson dropped out due to injury.

The Whites came into this one with eight points from their first four games, and with the chance to go third in the Premier League ahead of an extended international break.

Both sides had chances in the first 45, but the visitors thought they had taken the lead early in the second half when Tyrick Mitchell fired past James Trafford, only for the goal to be overturned after a VAR check.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin then came close to scoring the winner, having Leeds' best chance of the second half, but goalkeeper Walter Benitez stood strong.

Leeds remain unbeaten, but may feel like the draw was two points dropped after this one.

Anton Stach doesn't look the same at the minute

Anton Stach is an important player for Leeds, but he doesn't look like the same player that he did last season.

The German international is capable of moments of magic, but in games like this where it's not going for him, he needs to make up for it elsewhere

Stach was pushed off the ball far too easily, winning only 38 per cent of his ground duels.

The midfielder made three fouls, had a zero per cent dribbling accuracy and misplaced seven of his 30 attempted passes.

It's not to say that he should be dropped, but questions need to be asked over Stach, especially considering how much better Leeds have looked as a whole unit.

Perhaps the 27-year-old will return to Thorp Arch after the break feeling refreshed and more like himself.

Jayden Bogle was brilliant for Leeds vs Crystal Palace

Jayden Bogle is going from strength to strength for Leeds, and only making a stronger case to be in the England squad.

He was full of energy up and down Leeds' right-hand side, making an impact at both ends of the field.

He put a brilliant ball in the box for Calvert-Lewin, as the latter missed his chance despite an xG of 0.52.

Bogle was taken off in the 67th minute and left the field with a 100 per cent aerial duel success rate.

The 26-year-old provided the best chance of the game for the Whites, and for that, he deserves his praise.
