Jeremy Monga is reportedly in talks with Arsenal over a potential move, with Leeds United also linked to the Leicester City talent.

Monga is one of the most exciting young talents in English football outside of the Premier League, having already made 37 first-team appearances for Leicester.

30 of those came in the 2025-26 season, where he scored once and provided two assists in all competitions.

However, following Leicester’s shocking relegation to League One, the Foxes are now expected to see a number of their star players poached away from them this summer.

One of those looks certain to be Monga, with the 16-year-old having reportedly been on Leeds’ transfer radar.

What is latest on Jeremy Monga transfer?

Questions over Leeds’ interest in Monga have been raised ahead of the summer transfer window, with conflicting reports on whether he is or isn’t a serious target.

Going off the business Leeds did last season, Monga doesn’t really seem to fit their current plan of largely targeting more experienced players.

However, with a side nicely fleshed out with senior pros, perhaps the Whites’ transfer chiefs are now ready to target a few more talented youngsters moving forward.

But if Monga was/is indeed a legitimate target for them this summer, then they may just have seen their chances of securing his services pass them by.

That’s because according to a report from GiveMeSport’s senior football correspondent Ben Jacobs via X, Arsenal are now claimed to be in talks with the Leicester winger.

It’s claimed that the Foxes have received as many as eight formal enquiries from clubs across European football over the possibility of signing Monga.

The report ends by claiming that Monga’s services are set to fetch Leicester over £10million this summer, whilst it’s also understood that any transfer could go to a tribunal to determine the fee due to his age if it can’t be agreed upon by the clubs involved.

Leeds could still sign Monga even if he goes to Arsenal

Arsenal’s reported progression over a permanent deal for Monga may all but end Leeds’ chances of securing his services on that basis, but it might not be the end of the story yet.

Should he indeed sign for the Gunners, the likelihood is that he’ll either spend some time in their academy system or go out on loan next season.

Given he’s already played Championship and Premier League football with Leicester, keeping him in the senior game may be his next team’s best bet.

Leeds could then go knocking on Arsenal’s door to see if they could sort a loan deal out with the Premier League champions.

Given he didn’t light up the Championship last season, another spell at that level could be a wiser move for him, but the Whites could still ask the question if they do indeed want the winger.
