Leeds United and Arsenal are set to be without a number of players when both sides return to Premier League action this weekend.

The Whites make the trip to Emirates Stadium on Saturday lunchtime for the first Premier League game back after a three-week hiatus.

Leeds entered the prolonged international break in good spirits, even if they were held 0-0 by Crystal Palace last time out.

Daniel Farke was without Joe Rodon and Harry Wilson for that game, though both players have now had an extra three weeks to rest up.

However, the injury news is not overly positive from a Leeds perspective heading into this contest in North London.

The same is also true for Arsenal, with Mikel Arteta himself sharing a team news update on the eve of the match.

Who has been ruled out of Leeds clash vs Arsenal?

The bad news for Farke is that Rodon is still not available, although his return is now not far away.

Mateo Joseph, who is unlikely to be near the first-team squad anyway, is a long-term absentee through an injury sustained last season.

Daniel James has also been ruled out by Farke through an injury sustained while away with Wales.

Jean-Matteo Bahoya is another who was injured while away, but he has been given a chance of passing a fitness test for the Arsenal game.

Wilson - hailed a "magic" footballer by Ethan Ampadu - is Leeds' only other fitness doubt for the match, as he will also undergo a late fitness test.

Who are Arsenal's absentees vs Leeds?

As for Arsenal, they will definitely be without Christos Tzolis and William Saliba.

The latter's absence was already known, but summer signing Tzolis was officially ruled out by Arteta on Friday after injuring himself while with Greece.

Arsenal have a number of fitness doubts - six of them, in fact - with some more important than others.

Declan Rice missed England's four Nations League matches, though he is expected to be fit for Arsenal's first game back.

That makes eight doubts in total across the two teams, on top of the four confirmed absentees.
