MOT View: Old Twitter post proves Patrick van Aanholt would jump at chance to join Leeds
Leeds United already have one eye on the summer transfer window as they look to strengthen their squad in the Premier League.
It has been reported by The Mirror that Crystal Palace left-back Patrick van Aanholt is a target should he not stick at Selhurst Park.
The defender is out-of-contract in the summer and could be the perfect replacement for Ezgjan Alioski, who has been linked with a move of his own.
Going back to 2018, van Aanholt was asked what he thought of Marcelo Bielsa and his success with Leeds since arriving.
Writing on his personal Twitter account, the flying Dutchman was clearly a big supporter of El Loco and the Whites.
“Bielsa doing bits,” he wrote.

One in, one out.
As mentioned earlier, Alioski has been linked with an exit and a shock move to Galatasaray of all clubs with his deal running out this season.
Phil Hay claimed there is still yet to be an agreement with the Whites, and the longer this goes on, the more the club will need to target others just in case.
Comparing the two via WhoScored, van Aanholt is much better defensively, making more interceptions, clearances and blocks per game this season. On top of that, he is dribbled past fewer times; great news for this man-marking style.
Bielsa will already be getting his in-depth scouting reports from the likes of Victor Orta, and with van Aanholt becoming available soon, it would be no surprise to see him on there.
We know that El Loco is a massive draw to Elland Road, and it appears as though the Dutchman could be the latest to want the prestigious move to West Yorkshire.
