What is the latest on Leeds' pursuit of Melvin Bard?
Leeds have until 11pm to complete the deal, or they could submit a deal sheet.
L'Equipe journalist Flavien Tresarrieu shared via X on Tuesday evening that Bard has completed his medical with the Peacocks.
That should leave the formalities to be completed for the Yorkshire side to add him to their squad.
Given the tight timescale, they need to get a move on, to make him part of Farke's squad.
What is Bard's interesting Olympic past?
Bard competed in the Olympic games in Tokyo in 2021, so the Whites would be adding an Olympian to their ranks, if they can seal his signing.
His French team lost to Mexico and Japan and beat South Africa and did not progress to the knockout stages of the competition, which was eventually won by Brazil.
Bard featured twice in the tournament, for a total of 29 minutes, so it was not necessarily his fault.
He has not been capped for the senior national team since that and he will hope that a move to Leeds can help him make his bow for his country.
He will also hope to have a bit more success than that with the Whites, if his move to Elland Road is completed in time.
The fact that he has successfully completed a medical should provide hopes to supporters that the deal can get across the line before the cut-off point.
