Max Aarons could still be a solution for Leeds United to strengthen at full-back before the close of the transfer window.

The Bournemouth full-back has been linked with a switch to Elland Road before Tuesday's transfer deadline day.

Daniel Farke knows the 26-year-old well after bringing him through as a teenager at Norwich City when he was manager at Carrow Road.

Leeds are known to be in the market for an extra full-back, and Aarons' ability to play on the right and left would make him a versatile squad option.

The Whites are also still in the market for a new striker and a new winger before the window slams shut at 11pm on 1 September.

And Aarons remains an option, though it appears he has no shortage of options if he is to quit Bournemouth.

Transfer journalist Ekrem Konur, who writes the Sun and GiveMeSport, has reported that "talks are intensifying" in the final week over Aarons' future.

He says that Leeds remain an option for Aarons, who are eyeing a full-back to complement the likes of Jayden Bogle, James Justin, and Gabriel Gudmundsson.

However, Premier League new boys Coventry City are also eyeing a move, while Konur suggests there is interest from Italy and Spain in Aarons.

The past link to Farke might be important in this deal, and he has spoken glowingly about him in the past.

In quotes reported by Sky Sports at the time, Farke said: "From the first moment he was with us, he has improved each and every day, his consistency in his performances is outstanding.

"He's just 18 years old, it's outstanding at such a young age with such good performances, I hope we can develop him further."
