Leeds United fans may still be hopeful that the club can pull off the signing of Julian Brandt.

However, the Whites face competition for the German, as there's also been fears surrounding the transfer of Harry Wilson.

The Whites have already agreed for the 29-year-old to join the club upon the expiration of his deal with Fulham.

Wilson had a career-best season with the Cottagers last campaign, but told them of his wish to start a new chapter, which looks to be at Elland Road.

The Wales international snubbed the likes of Aston Villa and Everton for the Whites, but after agreeing a deal for the forward over a week ago, nothing is confirmed yet.

However, Leeds fans can put their anxiety aside, as it's said that the club have everything done already.

Harry Wilson transfer delay explained

News broke that Wilson had agreed to join Leeds on 24 June, though the move depended on a medical and other formal terms that needed to be signed off.

Whites supporters will know all about what happened last summer when the winger was supposed to join, only for his move to fall through at the eleventh hour.

According to Wales Online, there is no danger that the move is anywhere near a potential "collapse" all over again, despite growing anxiety from some supporters.

Wilson has agreed to sign a four-year deal with Leeds, as the Whites now turn their attention to other transfer targets.

One of them is Brandt, who has recently been spotted in talks with Champions League side Real Betis.

What is latest on Julian Brandt amid Leeds links?

Leeds have been mooted to make a move for Brandt, who left Borussia Dortmund following the expiration of his contract.

Yorkshire Evening Post's Graham Smyth was speaking on the Inside Elland Road podcast when he revealed the latest on the 30-year-old.

"It's rumbling on. Brandt's father and presumably an agent were at Real Betis' facilities this week, and the word from local journalists is that he was offered to the club," he said.

"The word from them is that he's not quite the right fit for them, but it obviously shows that Brandt is still shopping around for options, so it's one to wait and see."

The player is said to have Champions League ambitions, and so he may be hoping for a big move to come his way.

This means that Leeds could be one of his back-up options, as his actual thoughts on a move to Elland Road have yet to be reported on.

Ultimately, Leeds will have to sit tight and await a decision from Brandt. Hopefully he sees past Betis and instead considers a move to England.
