Tarik Muharemovic's Leeds United contract examined: Wages, duration and amortisation

Leeds United have certainly seen plenty of quality from Tarik Muharemovic since his summer move.

The Whites didn't mess around in getting their transfer window up and running in July.

They swooped in for the Sassuolo man to make sure he was on his way to Elland Road.

The 23-year-old came in and made an immediate impression throughout pre-season under Daniel Farke.

He has continued that into the Premier League season as he has been a regular in LS11.

What is Tarik Muharemovic's Leeds wage?

The Bosnia international certainly has plenty of top level experience for his age.

Juventus brought him into their Next Gen squad for the 2022/23 season before his switch to Sassuolo.

He got two seasons featuring regularly in Italy's Serie A and Serie B after that move.

The left-footed centre-back now finds himself in the Premier League as an asset for Leeds.

That is reflected in his wage as Valuball estimates that he is being paid £70,000-per-week at Elland Road.

He signed a five-year deal earlier in the summer which will see him earn a £3.6million salary.

That is just part of the payments being made as his transfer fee is also setting the Whites back.

How much are Leeds United paying for Muharemovic per year?

Farke clearly knew who he wanted this summer and was willing to put his money where his mouth is.

The Bosnian came in for around £34m and, so far, looks to be worth every penny.

That is a sizable fee for Leeds to pay, so his five-year deal helps to spread his amortisation fee.

Leeds are reportedly paying £7.8m for this year and will then pay between £8.2m and £8.3m for the next four seasons.

That will stop in 2031 when his current deal expires.

He may pen new terms at Elland Road at some stage, which would only increase his wage and not the payments to Sassuolo.
