Sky Sports told by one source Joseph Paintsil wants Leeds United transfer before 11pm on Friday
A source has told Sky Sports News that Genk forward Joseph Paintsil wants to make the move to Leeds United ahead of the transfer deadline on Friday (1 September).
The news outlet reported on its live transfer feed on 29 August that a deal for the Ghana international has stalled as he is currently in a dispute with the Belgian side over his exit terms.
It said the 25-year-old’s preference is to make the move to Elland Road, but that the Whites are looking at other targets while they keep an eye on his situation at Genk.

Hard to call
It’s hard to call where this transfer will go at this moment in time after a deal appears to have stalled following Paintsil’s dispute with Genk.
While Leeds won’t be too keen on hanging around to see how that pans out, the signing of Joel Piroe from Swansea City last week perhaps gives them a little bit of breathing space and an opportunity to be more patient.
It’s clear to see that Daniel Farke is still keen to add to his forward options, though, as he looks to bring in the necessary goals to his side to help challenge for a promotion place.

It’s also potentially in a bid to be prepared for any further departures, as a number of the attacking players that remain at Elland Road have been linked with a move away from the club.
But with only a few days left until the transfer window closes, the Whites boss will be keen to know exactly where those players stand so he can have all the necessary pieces in place by the time the deadline for new additions passes on Friday night.
In other Leeds United news, Piroe made a Whites admission following his debut against Ipswich.
