Sheffield United hit snag in Jesurun Rak-Sayki deal as Leeds United transfer twist emerges

Jesurun Rak-Sakyi’s loan move to Sheffield United has hit a snag after Leeds United attempted to sign the winger, according to Alan Nixon.

The Sun journalist wrote via his Patreon [15 August] that there is missing paperwork for the Crystal Palace gem’s move to Bramall Lane, with an issue regarding an agent’s fee expected to be solved.

It is understood that Leeds attempted to sign the 21-year-old, though the Eagles have decided that a loan is their preferred deal this summer, with the Blades now fretting over closing the priority transfer.

Could Leeds United complete a last-gasp hijack for Jesurun Rak-Sakyi?

Daniel Farke’s side look desperate for extra support on the flanks, even with the talented Wilfried Gnonto and Dan James out wide to support in the attacking third of the pitch.

Crysencio Summerville’s move to West Ham United, while inevitable this summer, was still a huge blow for the Whites, with Georginio Rutter now choosing a move to Brighton [Alex Crook].

Rak-Sakyi is an extremely exciting prospect who has yet to show his true potential on the football pitch, and Elland Road could be the destination where he finds that.

However, it seems much more likely that Norwich City’s Jonathan Rowe will arrive at Elland Road this summer. While Fabrizio Romano has admitted that the deal is not easy, Leeds’ interest in the forward is no secret.

With Sheffield United just one step away from completing the transfer, albeit long-winded so far, Leeds will need to act quickly if they are to steal the winger from Bramall Lane.

It seems unlikely to happen now but if the Elland Road hierarchy can offer a better loan deal to the Premier League club, anything is possible with 15 days of the summer transfer window remaining.
