Sebastiaan Bornauw exit from Leeds United on cards as loan return to be discussed
Sebastiaan Bornauw could be a topic of discussion for FC Koln after his struggles at Leeds United.
The Belgium international moved to the Whites from VfL Wolfsburg in the summer, but has since found game time hard to come by.
Koln have held internal talks about the prospects of signing Bornauw, with the centre-back playing just around two minutes of football in the Premier League.
Daniel Farke won’t want to lose players at Elland Road, but reality may hit the German manager as the defender may wonder what the future holds for him.

Leeds United loan exit may be an option for Sebastiaan Bornauw
Bornauw could potentially return to Koln in the winter transfer window on a loan deal, according to Express.
The news outlet reports on 24 December that the Bundesliga outfit are keen to bolster their defence in January and have the Belgian centre-back on their radar.
In the summer, the Elland Road hierarchy invested £5.1million in the defender, and it will be interesting to see whether they will allow him to leave.
The Whites are in a fierce relegation battle, and Farke will surely not want a depleted squad going into the second half of the season.
Jaka Bijol has emerged as a key player for Farke after a slow start to his career at the West Yorkshire outfit, and the ex-VfL Wolfsburg defender should take hope from that.
With the German manager playing an extra centre-back in recent matches, Bornauw will certainly get his chances in LS11 sooner rather than later.

Daniel Farke would be foolish not to sell one player at Elland Road
Farke has admitted he’s open to keeping Illan Meslier, with the goalkeeper the third-choice at the Whites right now.
Speaking to the media on 23 December, the German manager said: “At the moment we need all our goalkeepers, we’ve had injury and illness, so for that, it’s not the plan to do anything.
“Of course, it can change in January if someone wants to leave, but from my side, there is no proactive wish to change anything in our goalkeeping squad. I’m happy to have them all and that we have really good options.”
It makes no sense to keep Meslier, who is set to become a free agent at the end of the season, and instead of keeping him in their wage books, the West Yorkshire outfit would be smart to sanction his exit immediately in January.
