Leeds United are looking to press on with their transfer plans as things heat up in the summer window.

So far, Harry Wilson is the only player to arrive at Elland Road, having made the switch on a free transfer from Fulham.

Having finished 14th on their return to the Premier League last term, Leeds are looking to push on next season.

In order to do that, Daniel Farke is looking for quality additions to boost his squad for the 2026/27 campaign.

One player who has been named as a player of interest to Leeds is AC Milan midfielder Yunus Musah.

And the Whites may have been given a clue as to his availability after a decision taken by new Rossoneri head coach Ruben Amorim.

Leeds could now have Yunus Musah transfer window

Musah has apparently been on Leeds' radar throughout the summer transfer window, via the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The 23-year-old, who has 47 caps for the United States, spent last term on loan at Milan's Serie A rivals Atalanta.

However, he may now get the opportunity to prove himself to former Manchester United boss Amorim, who was recently appointed by the Rossoneri.

According to SBI Soccer and the Athletic journalist Larry Henry Jr, Amorim has included Musah as part of a 26-man pre-season squad.

As such, Amorim is planning to have a look at Musah in the coming weeks to see if he can have an impact in his squad.

It means Leeds now have a huge clue as to their plans with Musah, and it all points to the fact that a move to Elland Road is - at least currently - looking pretty unlikely.

What has USA coach Mauricio Pochettino previously said about Musah?

Musah was left disappointed this summer as he was left out of the United States squad for the World Cup.

The 23-year-old had been in previous selections, but missed out on a call for a home World Cup with USA coach Mauricio Pochettino looking elsewhere.

Pochettino has previously hailed Musah, though, with the midfielder on target for the Argentine's first game in charge of the USMNT.

Back in 2024, Pochettino said of Musah: "Fantastic for him, fantastic for the team.

"And now maybe he will start to behave in a different way, where he can be full of confidence. That’s the important thing in our decision, to try to help him.”

For now, it looks unlikely that we'll see that at Elland Road, though.
