It’s been a tough 2020 but the single scariest moment was the first quarter of the game against Man City. Rodrigo will be the saviour this season.

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho has decided that he wants to sell centre-back Juan Foyth, according to the Sun, amid interest from Leeds United.

This comes after a report in The Athletic said that the Argentina international wanted to stay and fight for his place at the club.

Writing in The Athletic, Charlie Eccleshare had said, "Juan Foyth is a really exciting player... for the moment he wants to stay and fight for his place.

"He will wait to see if his first-team prospects have improved and if not look for a move elsewhere."

The Sun seems to make it very clear that his first-team prospects, or indeed any prospects, at Tottenham have not improved.

The Sun report states: "Defenders Serge Aurier and Juan Foyth are another two on The Special One’s hit list.

"Versatile defender Foyth is being tipped to join Leeds to work under fellow Argentinian Marco Bielsa with the club back in the Premier League."

Foyth won't go away

Foyth is a name that just refuses to go away as far as Leeds are concerned.

Italian outlet TMW had said a deal for Foyth was moving closer earlier in the summer but Leeds then signed Robin Koch from Freiburg.

It does seem that Leeds want another centre-back after losing Ben White to Brighton and Gaetano Berardi to injury.

The name being strongly linked isn't Foyth, though, it's Dinamo Zagreb centre-back Josko Gvardiol.

Index.hr journalist Ivan Žeželj claimed that a deal for Gvardiol was "practically done" although the player wouldn't sign until after Zagreb's Champions League qualifier against Ferencvaros on September 16.

Foyth has been linked along with other Argentinian players because of his obvious links with Marcelo Bielsa but there are plenty of fans who think he'd be a good buy.

He offers versatility in that he can play right-back as well. If that was left-back then we might think a deal would be more likely.
