Report: Leeds plot swoop to sign young winger who is wanted across Britain

Leeds United are plotting a swoop to sign 15-year-old Hutchison Vale winger Bruno Davidson, according to the Scottish Sun.

The newspaper claims that Derby are also eyeing a move for the teenager, who is attracting attention from across the country with Liverpool, Southampton, Wolves, Sunderland and Celtic also showing an interest.

Davidson currently plays in the Scottish non-league for Hutchison Vale, who are based in Edinburgh.

Leeds have already shown a willingness to scour the Scottish leagues for young talent this year when they signed Stuart McKinstry from Motherwell in the summer.

And now it seems as though the Yorkshire club is willing to continue digging deep to uncover top young talent north of the border.

Not much is known about Davidson and the fact that he is so young and plays for a relatively unknown club means that uncovering whether he is good or not is a challenge.

Victor Orta’s recruitment of young players has been hit and miss since he became director of football but if Davidson is available on a relatively cheap deal – which is very likely – then signing him up might be a risk worth taking when so many top clubs are interested in him.

There is clearly something about this young player and as Leeds are a team that offer great first-team opportunities to young players, this could be one for fans to keep an eye on.
