Ramazani spotted in Leeds United training gear with deal seemingly complete
Largie Ramazani has been pictured wearing Leeds United training gear as his transfer from Almeria moves closer to being confirmed.
The 21-year-old Belgian winger was photographed on an exercise bike at Thorp Arch by family member Diamant Ramazani, who posted the image to his Instagram story before swiftly deleting it [22 August].
Ramazani had reportedly flown into West Yorkshire to complete a medical on 21 August after the Whites and Spanish Segunda Division side Almeria agreed a £9.9million transfer fee to sign the forward [Fabrizio Romano, 21 August].
Largie Ramazani first domino in vital week of Leeds United transfers
Although being pictured at Thorp Arch in the club’s official kit doesn’t absolutely guarantee that a player will be signing for the club – see Dan James in 2019 – this image is the closest thing yet to confirmation.
Ramazani has emerged as the Whites’ first-choice replacement for departed winger Crysencio Summerville at Elland Road, and has to be the first of several new faces who arrive through the doors.

Since Summerville’s sale to West Ham, Georginio Rutter has also left for another Premier League side in Brighton, with fans demanding to see the club utilise the big-money fees brought in for both players.
Spending just short of £10m on Ramazani is a strong start to make, and with the club facing a race against time before the window closes on 30 August, it has to be the beginning of a frantic few days.
Roland Sallai and Manuel Benson have also been linked with moves as the Peacocks look to replicate Summerville and Rutter’s attacking output [Sky Sports, 21 August], and it has to be full steam ahead in pursuit of these targets if Daniel Farke’s side want to remain a promotion favourite.
In other Leeds news, finance expert Dan Plumley has discussed the club’s position on Georginio Rutter’s transfer to Brighton.
