Fulham youngster Cody Drameh has followed Leeds United on Instagram amid reports that he is on the verge of a move to Elland Road.
According to the Daily Mail, the Whites are set to sign the 18-year-old right-back in a deal worth up to £1million due to add-ons.
It is understood that an agreement between Leeds and Fulham was struck on Thursday night and although he has not yet made a first-team appearance in his career, Marcelo Bielsa is set to hand him a chance to join his senior squad in West Yorkshire.
Drameh has now poured petrol on the fire with the speculation surrounding his future by following Leeds on his personal Instagram account.
Although the England Under-18 international – who assisted seven goals in 17 Premier League 2 appearances last season – has no posts on his Instagram, you can clearly see that Leeds’ account is one of the 30 he follows.
Interestingly, he does not follow Fulham.
It’s unlikely that this means nothing.
Leeds are the only football club that Drameh follows on his personal Instagram account, which has over 1,400 followers.
You can bet that his number of followers will surge when a massive club like Leeds sign him, with a deal now looking as though it’s going to go through very, very soon.
We do not know a lot about Drameh as he never made a first-team appearance for Fulham but Manchester City have previously shown an interest in him [Mirror] and Liverpool’s scouts have been impressed by his displays in the Fulham youth teams [Daily Mail].
Bielsa loves an attack-minded full-back and maybe Drameh will be brought in to shadow Luke Ayling next season.
