PL player reportedly on Leeds radar speaks out amid speculation
Sheffield United midfielder Luke Freeman has insisted that he has no idea about speculation linking him with a move to Leeds United this month.
The Sun on Sunday reported at the weekend [print edition, page 61] that Leeds are plotting a move to sign the 27-year-old and that both the Whites and their Yorkshire rivals were aiming to reach an agreement.
However the former QPR star has claimed that he has not heard anything about a possible January switch to Elland Road.
“It’s news to me completely. I’m enjoying my time at United, I’m enjoying the Premier League. So all I can do is keep working hard, and long may it continue,” Freeman said, as quoted by the Sheffield Star.
“I just want to keep my head down and see where it takes me.”
If Freeman is speaking the truth then fair enough but when players address speculation surrounding their futures then you should really take it with a pinch of salt.

There’s no way that the first time Freeman heard about this interest was when he was asked about it.
He is just the type of player that Leeds should be interested in this month and the fact that he has hardly played for the Blades means that it is definitely a believable transfer rumour.
Marcelo Bielsa could do with some extra creativity in his midfield with Pablo Hernandez getting injured every now and then and Freeman, as proven at QPR last season, could be that player.
Let’s hope that he is just playing dumb here and is actually someone on Leeds’ radar.
In other Leeds United news, Nottingham Forest’s Joe Lolley has been blown away by this senior man at Elland Road.
