Nottingham Forest star Joe Lolley has admitted he’s been blown away by the impact that Marcelo Bielsa has had in charge of Leeds United.

Although Leeds were knocked out of the FA Cup on Monday night due to a 1-0 defeat away at Arsenal, the Championship leaders played some fantastic football and were perhaps unlucky to have not at least earned a third-round replay.

It was an impressive display by the Whites, especially in the first half and a lot of fans and pundits were quick to praise Bielsa for the way he has set up his side to play.

One person who has unexpectedly raved about the Leeds boss on social media is Forest winger Lolley, who took to his personal Twitter account to pay tribute to the Argentine on Monday.

“From a football nerd point of view, Bielsa is just an incredible coach,” said the ex-Huddersfield player.

Lolley is only pointing out something that every single Leeds fan knows very well by now.

Bielsa is a special manager. All you have to do is look at the way that he has improved Leeds in around 18 months without really splashing the cash on new arrivals.

Sure he has welcomed the likes of Patrick Bamford to Elland Road, but what is really so different about the overall squad that Thomas Christiansen and Paul Heckingbottom had? There’s not much difference at all.

The big difference is the manager. If someone is going to lead Leeds back to the top-flight then it’s going to be Bielsa.

In other Leeds United news, Andrea Radrizzani has sent a message to fans after the loss at Arsenal.
