Phil Hay: Nothing agreed for any Leeds players to leave on loan in January

Phil Hay has shared that there are no agreements in place for any Leeds United players to leave on loan in January as things stand.

The rumour mill has already started three days into the window, with Cody Drameh, Sam Greenwood and Crysencio Summerville all linked with exits.

The Daily Mail went as far as to suggest that Nottingham Forest are in talks for a loan move with an option to make it permanent for Drameh, something Hay didn’t share.

Writing in his Q&A for The Athletic on either side of the Burnley game, Hay shared the latest on potential outgoings from Elland Road.

“I think that’s the point,” he wrote.

“The headcount is already very low so they’d need to be extremely careful about losing anyone. As it stands, there are no agreements for anyone to move out.”

No chance.

Leeds are in no position to let anybody leave the club this month, regardless of whether they are in the first-team or the under-23s.

Drameh, Summerville and Greenwood have all made their Premier League debuts this season and could easily be needed at any stage between now and the end of the season.

To even suggest that a permanent exit is on the cards for Drameh is ludicrous, with the youngster the future of right-back at Elland Road.

There is certainly nothing to see here, and we are quite certain that all three of these names will still be in West Yorkshire this time next month.
