Leeds United signing Jayden Bogle was wished well at Elland Road by former Sheffield United team-mate Oli McBurnie on Instagram.

The new Whites right-back posted on Instagram after his signing was confirmed on 20 July, stating that he was "buzzing to be part of this massive club" having arrived from Bramall Lane in a £5million deal [Danny Hall, 20 July].

Bogle, 24, received a plethora of well-wishes in the comments section of his post, with Sheffield United striker Oli McBurnie, a former Leeds academy player, posting a solitary emoji to show his support.

Cheltenham Town centre-back Curtis Davies, a team-mate of Bogle's at Derby County where he started his career, also wished the new United signing "all the best" as he begins his new chapter.

Jayden Bogle all set to be a success at Leeds United

Right-back looked to be the area most in need of addressing at Elland Road this summer, thus signing a young-yet-experienced player who already has a promotion under his belt looks to be a shrewd move.

After Archie Gray operated in the position for the majority of last season despite being a midfielder by trade, a significant hole was left by his £40million departure to Tottenham Hotspur [Graham Smyth, 1 July].

Furthermore, loanee Connor Roberts returned to Burnley, but the permanent signing of Bogle from the Blades has a similar effect, strengthening Daniel Farke's side at the expense of a direct promotion rival.

All-in-all, the Whites could reportedly be set to pay up to £7million for Bogle once add-ons are taken into account [Alan Nixon, 20 July], but that's surely be worth it if the right-back can help fire them back to the Premier League.

There's still plenty of work to do at Elland Road to accommodate for confirmed and expected departures, but in Bogle and Joe Rodon, the right-side of the Peacocks' defence is locked down for the long-term.
